Bought what we thought was a high end carpet with a 25 year warranty. After a year and half it started to bubble up in the middle of the room so a restretch was done. The carpet guy which is contracted out by Home Depot noticed along with me that there was a big thick line that came out right in the middle of the room. At that point he told me that the carpet is defective. I have been trying to get a resolution with the store and home office and now have been totally ignored. So much for honoring a warranty and customer service. After reading all these reviews from this site and other sites I would not suggest buying any kind of flooring from Home Depot since they do not honor warranties. And then I noticed after checking my paperwork they charged me 29.00 for furniture moving that they never had to do and have seen a lot of reviews that this is an on going practice they use to to rip us off.

Do not purchase carpet or anything from Home Depot. Better to go to Menards or Lowe’s. Purchased over $4000 of carpet, first they lost the carpet and couldn’t find it, then they brought the wrong carpet to my home, then they installed it extremely poorly with extra seams I never agreed to in multiple rooms. Then they refused to give me any documentation or respond to me about it. Had to take it to court, where state manager Abby ** blatantly and repeatedly lied about me and what they did, attempting to hide their mistakes. Installation looks extremely bad and unprofessional. They have lost me and everyone who has seen their installation as customers. Beware that they are extremely unprofessional and would rather make up lies about you than correct their mistakes.

LifeProof Rigid Core Vinyl Flooring comes in only 4 patterns plus another 4 that are the same, but reversed. It would seem simple enough to put one of each in a box of 8. That is not the case. Some boxes had 6 or 7 of the same and I ended up with a very imbalanced load. I returned 2 boxes that were all the same and 2 more on the next load. They were just put back on the pile for the next person to deal with.

They don't allow you to go through boxes in the store (because opened boxes are not saleable, I'm told). Flooring staff was not helpful and even rather dismissive of my concerns about this. (Said there was nothing they could do about it and suggested that my option was to return all the flooring if I was not satisfied - Home Depot, University Heights, Victoria, BC, Canada).

The only option then would be to order lots extra and return the extras in opened boxes. I would have returned the lot, but I had already started flooring. The first batch I picked up was reasonably balanced. Except for this, it is good flooring. I would not recommend it for anyone wanting more variation, especially over large spaces, or don't want the inconvenience of sorting and returning flooring.

I picked out a lifeproof carpet board to take home. After sitting there for 1/2 hour while he tried to figure out the system he didn’t charge me the $19 to schedule a person to come out and do measuring. I picked the color, my husband took board back to order and they said it was discontinued. We cancelled the measuring. I shopped for 2 weeks at other stores and went back to HD because I liked the brand warranties. I told the salesperson my previous experience and when I finally found a similar color I went through with paying now $35 for measuring. The salesperson found it in the system so no chance it’s discontinued. Measuring guy came out and said they will call in a few days with quote for our 20x20’ family room. They called with a phone number to call for quote. I called and they said no such sku so it’s discontinued.

I called the store back and twice when being transferred someone would pick the phone up and immediately hang up. Third try the person said they’d walk back and find someone. The salesperson would look into it and call right back. 4 hours later I was told yep, discontinued! I suggested the first time that they go through their boards and take out discontinued boards. I again made same suggestion so the next person doesn’t go through this. I asked if they would at least credit me back the $35 for measurements that I’ll never know what it was. They did. So upset that I have to go elsewhere since I can’t trust HD!

I should of read the review before my purchase. It has been more than a month that I order flooring materials, while I was purchasing the guy said they will deliver it the next week. It didn't came. I waited another 2 days and then call. They said the payment on their system didn't go through so they don't even bother to double check. I went there, fixed it and reorder. This time they said it will come in two weeks but still didn't come and I have to wait. They don't communicate. They don't care and they don't take responsibility and they keep saying it's the vendor. They blame the vendors and when you talk to them, they are being so loud and like whatever that you are upset. Next time I would never ever order something from Home Depot that need to deal with the employee. I can't believe their advertising anymore.

I purchased carpet and vinyl flooring for two different rooms and paid for installation. In the room for the vinyl flooring I was instructed to remove the furniture and rip up the existing carpet and padding which I did. After the vinyl was installed I noticed that Home Depot charged me for 'furniture removal' in that room. I was charged for furniture that I removed!!

Additionally, I wasn't told until 4 days before installation that both floors would NOT be installed on the same day. The lame excuse was so that the install crews would not be bumping into each other or get in each other's way. OMG. The carpet was installed by two guys and the vinyl by 1 guy!!! I was there as well. There's no way these installers would have even crossed paths in the separate rooms! This caused additional job concerns as well as having the home disrupted unnecessarily for an additional day. The Home Depot has lost credibility and trust. I have learned a valuable lesson.... Go somewhere else.

Redoing two rooms. Had carpet installed in both. Nicks on walls, doors and trim. One room had to come back due to bulge which they stretched and cut over 3 inches of carpet from (but they said was fine) and use pieces left to fill in holes near molding at doors. 2nd room, felt difference in padding. Pulled up carpet 2nd time out to home. Said defective padding. Came out 3rd time to replace 3ft of padding and then informed me floors not level (he lifted carpet and padding 2nd visit, why not tell me then!!), was then taking pictures making it look way worse than was. Customer service said my problem. I understand could be slightly uneven but the 2nd time out if would have let me know floor on angle I would have looked to getting fixed, not wasting time for him to come out and be rude to me about it. Customer service then suggested adding more padding to that area but installer said my problem.

Never again will use home depot installation, nightmare from start, including one canceled repair appointment, one canceled measuring appointment, showing up almost 45 minutes early. No call to verify coming out till after they came and left!!! Now it's up to me to have a 'professional ' look at leveling issue and see what can be done. They come, quickly do job and leave. Luckily one of two guys spoke English, but still very hard to understand. DO NOT USE HOME DEPOT!

So last year in July we ordered an outdoor porch carpet to put on our front porch! Week after week going into October they said they couldn’t install this carpet because of the weather. They need three days without rain for them to complete the work. We then cancelled the carpet because winter would be coming and the carpet would be covered with snow and ice! This year we again put in the carpet order in early June with the same specifications but now we are being charged more money! The first install date was to be July 8th. We received a call the day before and they left a message saying there was a chance of rain and they wouldn’t be coming. The next install would be July 24th, today!! So just to let you know the carpet crew that set up these appointments are based in New Hampshire and they check radar for installation dates from there!! Amazing isn’t it that this is how they arrange carpet install?

So today I cancel Dr. appointment because they are coming and weather is cooperating. They get here (two Spanish speaking guys) and said they couldn’t do it because they didn’t know about the two steps they have to bind on the ends. They talk to their people in “New Hampshire” and say they won’t be able to do it today and then just leave! Unbelievable!!! The next install “might happen August 12th week depending on the weather???? So people please be aware of the company you’re dealing with and their customer service policies! Home Depot could care less about their customers!!!!

I has prepared to purchase wood for floors so I paid for measuring and selected a particular wood. The measuring department called and gave me an estimate on what I selected. The price was too high so I selected a another wood. The Measuring department could not give me an estimate on what I had selected because it was not showing on the computer. The floor specialist I spoke to, Mr. Leighton ** told me he could calculate the price but he would have to obtain permission from his supervisor and call me. That was over two weeks ago and I have not heard from him. I will select another company to purchase wood for floors since Home Depot does not appear to be interested in providing me with service.

Never ordering anything from them before online.. It’s taking them 4 more days of what they promised and couldn’t ask for a refund... I had other bad experience before but that’s in the store where I live in. I wanted to put carpet in my house so paid for Tech to come out to my house for measuring. Tech never came nor call to reschedule... I called customer service and just transfer all over the place... I went into the store and ask for a refund.
